Graduation 2017….

It’s the 15th of the month and time for our May Bugaboo Crafty Challenge.  I picked this adorable “Ava Grad Diploma” image from the Bugaboo Digital Stamp Store.  It’s a most appropriate image for this time of the year, plus I wanted to make a card for a family member who is graduating from Kindergarten this year.

I colored the image with my Copic Markers and also used a White Gell Pen. I really dug through my old papers and came up with one that is from one of the very first Paper Books that I bought made by Paper Pizazz.  It has to be close to 30 years old! And speaking of “very old,” you can add these “School Days” Stickers by Francis Myer, Inc., to the list.

The Dies I used are the Bottle Cap Letters and Numbers by Die-Namics by My Favorite Things.

I hope you can join us this month and share your creation with us….You could be the winner!  Also remember that the Bugaboo Store has been revamped recently and if you haven’t been there lately, you might have to set up a new sigh in.

Have a great month!

Easter Parade….

This image was my choice to use in the March Progressive Challenge by Bloobel Digi Stamps.  I though she was cute, different and it would be a good challenge for me to make her look “Eastery.” (Is that a word?) She’s called “Easter Parade Bunneh.”

I used my Copic Markers, Prisma Pencils, and a Jelly Roll White Pen to color the image. I really like to mix these mediums, as the pencils make it easier to get in those small places.  That’s really important when you don’t see well.

I had a new paper stack that I picked up on sale at a Beal’s Outlet and the papers were all Spring and Easter oriented — just perfect for this card! The stack is called “Umbrella” and is made by American Crafts.  I had some 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 pre-made card bases from Hobby Lobby that I decided to use. I thought it would be fun to work with a bigger size card than what I normally use.

I used one of those dollar punches from Michaels to make the flowers for her hat and the one she’s holding. I added a few rhinestones from my stash to make the flowers “pop” a little.

The Music Notes Die is by Memory Box and the Scalloped Stitched Rectangle is a Die-namic by My Favorite Things.  When I finished the card I thought it still needed something, so I decided to add the Sequins. These are also by MFT, and I thought they were the perfect addition to put the finishing touch on this card.

Why don’t you get your Bloobel image before the month is up and come play along with us?

Make Me A Cake?!

This is my take on the Bloobel Progressive Challenge for February.  I thought that the digi stamp was perfect for several birthdays that I had coming up later this year. The image is called “BAKE ME A CAKE” and you can find her here at Bloobel.

I’ve colored her with my Copic Markers and I’ve also used a few Prisma Colored Pencils, plus a Jelly Roll White Pen.  The die-cut Numbers are by Sizzix Momenta and bought at Hobby Lobby.  The papers were single sheets also from Hobby Lobby.

Santa’s Helper….

This is my card for the “Crafty Awesomeness Challenge.” We were suppose to use a Digital Stamp and a Gina Marie Die.

The image I chose was one by Mo Manning called “Toyshop Helper” and is available at Mo’s Digital Pencil. I colored the image with my Copic Markers and a touch of white pen.

The red and green Cardstock is from my scrap pile, but the pattern paper is from a 6×6 DCWV stack called “The Christmas Basics,” which I bought last year.

The Twine is from Hobby Lobby and the Red Ribbon is from JoAnns. I dotted the background with Liquid Pearls and Ranger Stardust Stickles.

The Gina Marie Die is from the Stitched Hexagon Die Set. Make sure to check out her great selection and great prices.

The Summer Sea….

This is an adorable Mermaid digital stamp done by artist Janice Cullen Collyer of Scrapper’s Delights and recently offered free in conjunction with Markers, Papers and Digis on their Facebook site.

By now you should all know how I feel about Mermaids…I love them, and this one is no exception.  It was really fun to try to do something different with her.

I went through my old stack of 8-1/2 x 11 papers and found this underwater scene called Fish W/Whales by Masterpiece Studios. I don’t think I could have asked for a more perfect paper!

The image is colored with Copic Markers and highlighted with a White Prisma Pencil and a White Gelly Roll Pen. The inside of the clam shell is brushed with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter, and I also used Ranger’s “Star Dust” Stickles on her clothes and tail.

The “Happy Birthday” die is a Die-namic by MFT and the Branch and Seahorse dies are by Memory Box.
