Hi everyone. This is my newest card and it’s for the “Bloobel Progressive Challenge” for May. Having several Teachers in our family, I thought it was a perfect card to send to one of them. By this time of the year I thought that they all must feel this way, not just the students! Don’t you think so?
The cute digital image is by Bloobel and called “Bored at Work.” He’s been colored with my Copic Markers, White Gelly Roll Pen, and Prisma Pencils.
I used a Spellbinger Die for the basic background shapes and then used the Bottle Cap Letter Dies by Die-Namics from My Favorite Things. The Speech Bubble and Sentiment are both computer generated.
The Pattern Papers are more “Oldies” that I dug out of my 8½ x 11 drawer. Sorry, but neither had a name on them. The Red Cardstock was a scrap.
I hope you were able to grab this free image and enter the challenge. If not, sign up so you can get the Free June Image when it’s released.
Thanks for stopping by.
It’s the 15th of the month and time for our May Bugaboo Crafty Challenge. I picked this adorable “Ava Grad Diploma” image from the Bugaboo Digital Stamp Store. It’s a most appropriate image for this time of the year, plus I wanted to make a card for a family member who is graduating from Kindergarten this year.
I colored the image with my Copic Markers and also used a White Gell Pen. I really dug through my old papers and came up with one that is from one of the very first Paper Books that I bought made by Paper Pizazz. It has to be close to 30 years old! And speaking of “very old,” you can add these “School Days” Stickers by Francis Myer, Inc., to the list.
The Dies I used are the Bottle Cap Letters and Numbers by Die-Namics by My Favorite Things.
I hope you can join us this month and share your creation with us….You could be the winner! Also remember that the Bugaboo Store has been revamped recently and if you haven’t been there lately, you might have to set up a new sigh in.
Have a great month!
It’s hard to believe that the summer is almost over and the kids are going back to school soon. This cute card will be sent to a child just starting Kindergarten. It will also be entered into the ADFD Challenge Blog, which asked for a card made with “School Paper.”
The Apple image is by A Day For Daisies, which just happens to be one of my favorite digital stores. This cute image can be found there, but please check out her other lovely images of women, children, mermaids, animals, fantasy themes, etc. The images just seem to “flow” from her pen.
The patterned paper is called “School Days” and is an “Oldie” by Provo Craft and dated 1995. The blue and white paper on the corners was cut from a sheet of matching paper called “School Days Quilt.” The ruler ribbon is from JoAnns and the sticker was in my stash.
I colored the image with my Copic Markers. The sentiment is typed on my computer and cut with a Spellbinders Die, and I also used a Gina Marie Die called “Stitched Hexagon.” The apple is fussy-cut and the worm and leaves are 3-D. I used foam dots for this.
