It’s time for our Crafty Awesomeness Challenge at The Crafting Circle.com. This time we could make any type of card so I chose to make another Christmas Card for my pile, which is slowly growing. I better get moving ’cause it will be here before we know it!
I used a pre-made card base from Hobby Lobby. The black and white striped paper is by Canvas Corp. and was a scrap from a previous card. I fell in love with the paper with the old car with the Christmas tree on top and just had to buy it. It’s a single sheet by The Paper Studio and is sold at Hobby Lobby.
I turned this into a shaker card using the “Merri Christmas” Die Circle and matching plastic dome. These are both by Die-Namics by My Favorite Things. I used a single circle punch for the black dots on the paper and put a shaker “flake” on each one. I probably should have dry embossed the card background, but I didn’t think of it in time. The “flakes” are from Hobby Lobby.
I’m looking forward to seeing your entries into the challenge.
It’s time for our monthly “Bugaboo Crafty Challenge” at The Crafting Circle, and I’ve decided this time to make a Birthday Card. I chose to use this adorable image called “Birthday Fishes.”
I’ve colored the image with my Copic Markers. The Card Base is made from a Kraft Cardstock by My Favorite Things. The Pattern Paper is from a stack called “Fun & Frolic” also by MFT.
Don’t forget to check out the online Bugaboo Store for all your upcoming holiday stamps. And while you’re there, don’t forget to pick up your Friday Freebie and check out their weekly sales.
Thanks for stopping by, Dee.
It’s time again for the Crafty Awesomeness Challenge on Crafting Circle.Com. For the month of October our DT was to make a Color on Color Card. I chose White on White. We could add a pop of color and I chose to use Silver.
Sympathy cards are not my favorite to make but I needed one, and I just thought this would work out well. The Large Die Cut is by Die’sire from Crafters Companion and bought at Hobby Lobby. The Banner Cut is by Hero Arts and is part of their Stamp & Cut line. It comes with two different size die Banners and an assortment of stamped sentiments to use with either banner. I think I’m going to get a lot of use out of this set.
The Silver Paper was from my scraps. The Butterflies are made from an older Martha Stewart Punch.
Thanks, Dee. Please come and join us this month.
Sorry that my Bugaboo Crafty Challenge for September is so late, but we were caught in the middle of Hurricane Irma and things are just now getting back to normal here.
I was thrilled to be able to do another card for my Christmas pile. This cute little digi and sentiment is called “Merry Christmas to Ewe” and both can be found here on the Bugaboo Store site. Don’t you just love that cute little face? I sure do.
My papers are from a stack by “The Paper Studio” called “Snow Day” and bought at Hobby Lobby. I’ve had it a few years now and I still love this aqua and red combination for Christmas. I’m hoping that I can find a new stack this year that I love as much as I do this one. If you’ve found any that you really like, please let me know.
I’ve colored my image with Copic Markers, picking up the colors in the paper. I decided to make it a shaker card using these smaller shaker windows that I had just bought from My Favorite Things. Unfortunately, I found the smaller window harder for me to work with, as some of the styrofoam “snow balls” were just a tad too big and they were a tight fit. I find that they don’t shake as well as I would like them to.
The Twine was from my stash and the large circle ring is cut with a Die-Namic die also from My Favorite Things.
Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask them. Good luck with your entry.
This is my card for the Bugaboo Crafty Awesomeness Challenge at the Crafting Circle.con for August. This cute Digi Stamp is called “Clyde – Get Well,” and it’s one of the newer images available at Bugaboo Digital Stamps. Make sure to check them out for their weekly sales and Friday Freebie image.
I’ve colored the image with my Copic Markers and I’ve also used a few Prisma Colored Pencils for highlighting. To add a little sparkle, I’ve dotted the background with “Star Dust” Stickles by Ranger. The Buttons are made from a Die-namic Die by My Favorite Things. The patterned paper was a remnant from my stash. I used a Corner Rounder on the corners.
Good luck with your entry.
