Thanks For Support….

Hello Everyone.  It’s the time of the month for our Bugaboo Crafty Challenge over at The Crafting Circle.  Since I was asked to make a card that would be used to thank a special friend for their help during a time of illness, I knew just what I wanted too do. I remembered seeing this image called  “Stella Peeker – Braless” and knew it would make a perfect thank you card.  You can find it here.

The regular card stock papers that I used to make my white card base and pink layer are from Hobby Lobby.  I’m not sure where my patterned paper was bought, but I knew that I had the perfect paper for this card in my single sheet stash.  (Yes, I’m one of those gals who can’t pass up getting every new sheet of paper that comes into the Joanns Store that’s by me.  I mean…who can pass up 5 sheets for $1 when you have a paper fetish!!!) Anyway, the paper is made by Me And My Big Ideas and I love how they added sparkles to the darker ribons.

I repeated the paper inside the card and then I printed a computer message, but I made sure I left enough room to also add a personal message. The pink ribbon was from my stash and I thought it added the perfect touch.

Thanks everyone for stopping by.  Don’t forget to enter the challenge and you may be the first winner of the new year.

Happy Birthday….

Happy New Year everyone.  I’ve been very show at getting back in the crafting mood, but this special card request did it.

I had a request for a birthday card for someone whom loves to clean.  Here’s what I did.  I chose an image I had from digital artist Janice Cullen Collyer and you can find the image here.

The image is colored with my Copic Markers and I used Sharpie to hand write the sentiment.  The Happy Birthday is made with a MY Favorite Things Die-Namic Die.

Birthday Fishes….

Hi again,

It’s time for our monthly “Bugaboo Crafty Challenge” at The Crafting Circle, and I’ve decided this time to make a Birthday Card. I chose to use this adorable image called “Birthday Fishes.”

I’ve colored the image with my Copic Markers. The Card Base is made from a Kraft Cardstock by My Favorite Things.  The Pattern Paper is from a stack called “Fun & Frolic” also by MFT.

Don’t forget to check out the online Bugaboo Store for all your upcoming holiday stamps.  And while you’re there, don’t forget to pick up your Friday Freebie and check out their weekly sales.

Thanks for stopping by, Dee.

Wishing Ewe….

Sorry that my Bugaboo Crafty Challenge for September is so late, but we were caught in the middle of Hurricane Irma and things are just now getting back to normal here.

I was thrilled to be able to do another card for my Christmas pile.  This cute little digi and sentiment is called “Merry Christmas to Ewe” and both can be found here on the Bugaboo Store site.  Don’t you just love that cute little face?  I sure do.

My papers are from a stack by “The Paper Studio” called “Snow Day” and bought at Hobby Lobby.  I’ve had it a few years now and I still love this aqua and red combination for Christmas.  I’m hoping that I can find a new stack this year that I love as much as I do this one. If you’ve found any that you really like, please let me know.

I’ve colored my image with Copic Markers, picking up the colors in the paper.  I decided to make it a shaker card using these smaller shaker windows that I had just bought from My Favorite Things.  Unfortunately, I found the smaller window harder for me to work with, as some of the styrofoam “snow balls” were just a tad too big and they were a tight fit. I find that they don’t shake as well as I would like them to.

The Twine was from my stash and the large circle ring is cut with a Die-Namic die also from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask them. Good luck with your entry.

Get Well…

This is my card for the Bugaboo Crafty Awesomeness Challenge at the Crafting Circle.con for August. This cute Digi Stamp is called “Clyde – Get Well,” and it’s one of the newer images available at Bugaboo Digital Stamps.  Make sure to check them out for their weekly sales and Friday Freebie image.

I’ve colored the image with my Copic Markers and I’ve also used a few Prisma Colored Pencils for highlighting. To add a little sparkle, I’ve dotted the background with “Star Dust” Stickles by Ranger. The Buttons are made from a Die-namic Die by My Favorite Things.  The patterned paper was a remnant from my stash.  I used a Corner Rounder on the corners.

Good luck with your entry.
