Here’s my card for The “June Crafty Awesomeness Challenge” at The Crafting Circle.
I’m sure that we’ve all had days when we can identify with this “cutting-edge” image by digital artist Rick St. Dennis. This image is called “Bang Your Head Slowly” and can be found here at Zibbet.
I’ve colored the image with Copic Markers and used Prisma Colored Pencils for the eyes. The black and red colored cardstock is by Recollections. The checked paper is from the “Mother Goose” paper stack by Graphic 45, and the other patterned paper is called “Black Swirl Roses” by Recollections.
I also used a large Friskars Flower Punch and a small one made by E.K. Success. The small letters are a Die by Die-Namics from MFT. The large Alphabet Stickers are by Making Memories and must be at least 10 years old. The black and white stickers are “Thickers” by A.C. The rhinestones were in my stash.

Challenges I entered:
…is the new Friday Freebie Progressive Challenge Stamp by digital artist Janice Cullen Coyller. What a wonderful “boy” card this makes. It’s just perfect for those young boy dreams of flying into space on their own spaceship. This image is called Super Hero 1 and can be requested in the group in the freebie post.
I colored him with Copic Markers and Prisma Pencils. I used the Darice Cloud embossing folder and Star Dies by Die-Namics. The patterned papers are from a older stack by K&Company called “Day Dreams,” and I also cut the Rockets from one of the pages. I used Ranger Sickles in Black, Red and Yellow and Wink of Stella in Silver.

Many of my friends and family are avid readers and I always enjoy making them new bookmarks. Here are a few of my more recent ones. They make great gifts when something more than a card is needed:
The first one uses a cute “Edwin” stamp by Magnolia Stamps of Sweden. The image is colored with Copic Markers and Prisma Colored Pencils. I used a We Are Memory Makers Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper to round the corners. The ribbon and the charm were in my stash. (Sorry for the poor quality of the photos, but they were all I had.)
The second bookmark is made by using a giant paper clip. I used the Stitched Oval Dies from Die-Namics by My Favorite Things and just cut them in half to make them into a rainbow. The Stitched Sun and Clouds are also from Die-Namics. (The book was also a great “read.”)
