Merry Christmas….

It’s time for our Crafty Awesomeness Challenge at The Crafting Circle.com.  This time we could make any type of card so I chose to make another Christmas Card for my pile, which is slowly growing.  I better get moving ’cause it will be here before we know it!

I used a pre-made card base from Hobby Lobby.  The black and white striped paper is by Canvas Corp. and was a scrap from a previous card.  I fell in love with the paper with the old car with the Christmas tree on top and just had to buy it.  It’s a single sheet by The Paper Studio and is sold at Hobby Lobby.

I turned this into a shaker card using the “Merri Christmas” Die Circle and matching plastic dome.  These are both by Die-Namics by My Favorite Things. I used a single circle punch for the black dots on the paper and put a shaker “flake” on each one.  I probably should have dry embossed the card background, but I didn’t think of it in time. The “flakes” are from Hobby Lobby.

I’m looking forward to seeing your entries into the challenge.

Wishing Ewe….

Sorry that my Bugaboo Crafty Challenge for September is so late, but we were caught in the middle of Hurricane Irma and things are just now getting back to normal here.

I was thrilled to be able to do another card for my Christmas pile.  This cute little digi and sentiment is called “Merry Christmas to Ewe” and both can be found here on the Bugaboo Store site.  Don’t you just love that cute little face?  I sure do.

My papers are from a stack by “The Paper Studio” called “Snow Day” and bought at Hobby Lobby.  I’ve had it a few years now and I still love this aqua and red combination for Christmas.  I’m hoping that I can find a new stack this year that I love as much as I do this one. If you’ve found any that you really like, please let me know.

I’ve colored my image with Copic Markers, picking up the colors in the paper.  I decided to make it a shaker card using these smaller shaker windows that I had just bought from My Favorite Things.  Unfortunately, I found the smaller window harder for me to work with, as some of the styrofoam “snow balls” were just a tad too big and they were a tight fit. I find that they don’t shake as well as I would like them to.

The Twine was from my stash and the large circle ring is cut with a Die-Namic die also from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask them. Good luck with your entry.

Under the Sea….

Our Crafty Awesomeness Challenge for June is to make a “Shaker Card” and to use our “Gina Marie” Dies.  This was a no brainer for me, as I have plenty of her Beach and Sea oriented dies.

I cut my dies using white paper and colored them using my Copic Markers and a few Prisma Colored Pencils. The plastic Domes are available from here.  The sparkling beads used were a type of “Christmas Ice” bought at Hobby Lobby.  (I’m always picking up things that I think will look cool in a shaker card so I have them when needed.)

The circle background paper was an old scrap, but the wood-pattern paper was from a Glitz 6×6 Paper Pad called “Dapper Dan.”

The Shark Sticker was another dip into sticker notebook that I’ve had for years and years.  I’m determined to make use of as many as I can on my future cards!

I hope you can join us and maybe you’ll be the winner. The challenge runs through the end of June.

Thanks for stopping by.

HELLO….

Hello everyone.  This card is for the Bloobel Progressive Challenge for April.  The Digi is part of a set of flowers that Lisa did and one in which we could pick out the image we wanted to color for this month’s Challenge.  I chose “Arthur Aster.” Check them out and see which one you like the best.

I’ve colored the image with my Copic Markers.  The papers were all from my scraps folder.  The “Hello” die is by Momenta and bought at Hobby Lobby. The Cloud and Banner die are Die-Namics by My Favorite Things. The Corners are done by a Fiskars Corner Punch.

I hope you were able to get your image in time to enter this month’s challenge. If so, you are eligible for next month’s free digi.  If not, you can buy it and enter.

Thanks for stopping by.

Life is Like….

It’s time again for our monthly “Bugaboo Challenge” at The Crafting Circle. I chose this image because it’s a little different from what I usually do, which is one of her “funky” older gals or guys.  This little guy is called “Riding A Bike,” and I loved the message that came with him.

He’s colored with my Copic Markers, and I used a Sukura Micron Black Pen to add the road and stones.  I don’t usually color in the complete background, but since it’s something I learned while taking a class at Kit and Clouder, I thought I’d give it a try.  I like how it came out and I’m sure I’ll do it again. Maybe next time it will a different medium.

The Clouds and Sun are Die-Namics from My Favorite Things.  The Twine is from Hobby Lobby.  The Peace Charm on the front of his bike is by Darice.

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to check out the Bugaboo Digi Stamp site. She keeps adding new stamps each week and these and others are often on sale. She also has a great selection of $1 stamps.
