“Happy Halloween….”

Hi everyone.  This was my last Halloween Card for the year… unless I come across another that I realize that I didn’t post.  LOL.

The image is from the INFAMOUS “KennyK” and is called “Trixxie Treat.” I colored her with my Prisma Pencils and outlined the image with a Frost Blue #BOO Copic Marker.  The sequins are all from My Favorite Things and they come in assorted color sets.  A few boxes of these have pretty much covered all the various colors that I’ll probably need.

The chipboard and twine was in my stash and probably came from Michaels or Joanns. The Black Cardstock is called Licorice and also comes from My Favorite Things. The Printed paper came from a Halloween Paper Stack called “Trick Or Treat” by “The Paper Studio” from Hobby Lobby.  I bought it last year after Halloween for 90% off. You can’t beat that!

Challenges I’ve entered:

“I Deserve A Treat!….”

Hello again. My Design Team card for this month’s “Crafty Awesomeness Challenge” is by the Queen of Quirky herself, Lisa Bloobel of Bloobel Stamps. To say that her work tickles my funny bone is a vast understatement, especially this image of “Witch Trick.”

My image is colored with Copic Markers, which I mainly tried to stay within the Warm Gray color tones. I don’t usually use them but I like how they look, so I’m sure that I’ll be using them a more in the future.

I made my card base from Black Licorice paper by My Favorite Things, but the other papers I used were from my scraps box.

I’ve used an assortment of “Google-Eyes” to dot the background and I also put a small one on her eye.  I’m not sure where I bought these, but you can find them in just about any craft store in the aisle where they have supplies for making dolls. I also pulled out an old photo sticker for a sentiment that must be at least 20 years old. I had to doctor the glue a little on that, but I thought it went perfect with the Witch.

Oops…I should also mention that I used a Nestability Rectangle Die to cut out the image area.

All in all, I was very pleased with how the card came out. Please join us and add your projects to the Crafty Awesomeness Challenge Blog. And most of all…Have Fun!

I’m Coming To Get You…

This wonderful Free “Mummy” Digital image is the latest Freebie Friday Progressive Challenge Image by the wonderful digital artist…Janice Cullen Cullyer of Scrapper’s Delights. Most of you probably know the drill by now, but if not here’s what you do:

The image is Free to first time users or for those who requested the last Progressive Image and used it to enter the Blog Challenge.  If you requested the image and didn’t get to use it, you can get this one for $1 at Janice’s store.  It’s as simple as that.

I chose to make an Easel Card this time. I’ve colored the image with Copic Markers and Prisma Colored Pencils. She is “popped” with a very thick layer of foam tape under the head and then I used thinner pops for the body.  It gives a nice 3-D effect.

The wonderful background paper is from a Graphic 45 Paper Stack called “Happy Halloween.”  I’ve added a few extra tree branches that were cut from a Tim Holtz Alterations Die called “On The Edge.” The Clothes Pins were bought at a post Halloween sale last year at Michaels’ Craft Store and are by Recollections.  The Puffy Halloween Sticker was from my stash and is made by Momenta.

Don’t miss out on the fun and a chance to win some free images.
