This is my newest card. It was made with a free digi called “Rainy Days” which was offered for the Scrapper’s Delight April Progressive Challenge. I sure wish we had some puddles down here. It’s hot and dry as can be. I don’t think we’ve had any April Showers this year!
I colored the image with my Copic Markers and the Sentiment is computer printed. I’ve used a sheet of Pattern Paper from the MFT paper stack called “Plaid Patterns.” I used my Martha Stewart Score Board to score the bottom inch of the card and finished that off with rounded corners and a bit of blue and white Twine from my stash. The Blue Sequins are also from My Favorite Things.
I then used a Hexagon Die from Gina Marie which I traced around and hand-cut out.
This is the image for the first Progressive Challenge hosted by the Queen of Quirky – Lisa Graham, owner of Bloobel Digital Stamps. When I first saw the image, I had absolutely no idea of what I could or would do with it. Then things slowly fell into place. 🙂
I colored the image with my favorite coloring medium, my Copic Markers and some parts are enhanced with my Prisma Colored Pencils. I also used a little touch of Yellow Ochre Color Box Chalk Ink to make the grass pop.
The word bubble and letters are computer generated, but the letters on the wooden sign are made with the Die-namics Bottle Cap letter dies by My Favorite Things. The Clouds and Grass dies are also by Die-namics and should still be available at MY Favorite Things online store.
I usually make my own card bases, but this time I’m using a 5 x 6-1/2 pre-made base by Recollections. Since they come in a set of 50 cards and envelopes, using them does save time. My patterned paper is a single sheet by “The Paper Studio” from Hobby Lobby. I usually buy these when they have a half-price sale on all the Paper Studio Papers, which they seem to have every few weeks.
The Challenge runs until the end of January, but the image is no longer free now. It may be purchased or you may wait until next month and request the February image. If you want to join in the future Bloobel Progressive Challenges, please sign up for her newsletter that insures you will get the image request each month.
Thanks for stopping by.

If so, you’ll love the new Friday Freebie this week over at Scrapper’s Delights Facebook Group. To me this very sophisticated digital image lends itself to all kinds of Romantic and girly-girl card ideas. Lets have some fun and see what ideas you can come up with.
Here’s my card:
The Digital Image is by Scrapper’s Delights and was colored with Copic Markers. I also used a .005 Zig Millennium Black Marker for the scroll on the lip stick case. All papers were from my scrap box and the flowers and bow are from Joanns. The sentiment was printed on my computer… and I think it says it all!
