“Memories…

pressed between the pages of my mind.”

This is a favorite song lyric of mine from a beautiful song sung by Elvis Presley.  It came to mind when I made this card for and old friend from Jr. High days.  Yep, we actually wore these skirts with all those crinolines, cinch belts, and embroidered shirts, but I don’t remember the Saddle Oxfords. In those days we mainly wore white Ked sneakers and knee-high socks.

The adorable image is called “Destiny Poodle Skirt” and is a digital image by Amanda Byron of Faery Ink, which I colored with Copic Markers and Prisma Pencils. The papers were from  a $1 pack at Target. The Balloons, Numbers and Letter Dies are from Die-Namics, Musical Notes are by Memory Box, and I’ve also used a Flower Punch by Friskars. The small circular stamped image is by Lily of the Valley.

Don’t You Just Feel Terrible…

when you look at this poor little Dino? I wanted to make a card for a sick friend and thought this image from Scrappers Delight called “Draco Get Well” would be perfect. You can find him and his friends here and there’s even some Christmas images. My only problem was that I didn’t get done with the card before my sick friend got better.  Well, the thought was there and the card will be put to good use sometime in the future.  You can never have too many get well cards on hand!

Supplies:

The image was colored with Copic Markers and Prisma Colored Pencils. I used my Martha Stewart Score Board to make the lines across the bottom.  I also used the Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper to round the corners.

LOVE Your Lip Sticks?

If so, you’ll love the new Friday Freebie this week over at Scrapper’s Delights Facebook Group.  To me this very sophisticated digital image lends itself to all kinds of Romantic and girly-girl card ideas.  Lets have some fun and see what ideas you can come up with.

Here’s my card:

The Digital Image is by Scrapper’s Delights and was colored with Copic Markers. I also used a .005 Zig Millennium Black Marker for the scroll on the lip stick case.  All papers were from my scrap box and the flowers and bow  are from Joanns.  The sentiment was printed on my computer… and I think it says it all!

Time to Rock and Roll!

Hello everyone,

I’ve been in the middle of a mini “scrap room” redo to try and make my supplies more easily accessible while I’m crafting. It’s funny how you change your “style” just a little bit, and you find that you have to shuffle things around again to have them within easy reach. If not, you feel like you get up a million times to get something and that’s such a waste of precious crafting time.

Since I’ve signed up for several of the Kit and Clowder online coloring classes, I’ve been adding to my Copic Markers and my Prisma Premium Colored Pencils. I definitely want to keep all of these within easy reach. If you still haven’t tried these classes, please check them out. There’s even a free class you can take, and you can’t beat that!

Since I’ve been on Face Book, I’ve also discovered some new digital artists whose stamps range from sweet to zany and you’ll see many of them featured on my upcoming cards. They are the best of the best…IMHO.

Speaking of these new artists, my first card posted has an image by…Conie Fong. This was made for a sweet little girl who just turned 5. Thank you Conie for such a cute image.
