Puddles…Oh My….

This is my newest card. It was made with a free digi called “Rainy Days” which was offered for the Scrapper’s Delight April Progressive Challenge. I sure wish we had some puddles down here.  It’s hot and dry as can be. I don’t think we’ve had any April Showers this year!

I colored the image with my Copic Markers and the Sentiment is computer printed.  I’ve used a sheet of Pattern Paper from the MFT paper stack called “Plaid Patterns.” I used my Martha Stewart Score Board to score the bottom inch of the card and finished that off with rounded corners and a bit of blue and white Twine from my stash. The Blue Sequins are also from My Favorite Things.

I then used a Hexagon Die from Gina Marie which I traced around and hand-cut out.

Being Earth Friendly….

Our Crafty Awesomeness Challenge this month uses one of the awesome Bundles from Bugaboo Digital Stamps.  These great “Stick Figures” can be used for so many things.

I’ve finished two of the set here and will add others during the month. These are all concerning being “Earth Friendly” and will eventually end up being a set of cards that I will be sending to a friend who is a great advocate of Recycling, Planting Plants and Trees and generally making the Earth a better place for our children and grandchildren.

These images are colored with my Copic Markers and tied with Twine from my stash. I also used my Martha Stewart Score Board to make some lines along the bottom of the card. I used the Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper on the bottom corners of the card.  The Cloud and Letters are Die-Namics by My Favorite Things.

Happy 6th Birthday Princess!

I made this adorable 6th Birthday Card for a special little girl in my life. It reminded me so much of her with those big BROWN eyes and her hair pulled back. LOL. She’s precious.

The digital image is by Sandra Caldwell and from her “Baby Cakes” Etsy Shop.  Check her out…she has some really cute, cute images for all occasions. This one is called “Maria Carmen Party Hat” and is #1388.

I’ve colored the image with my Copic Markers and used Pattern Papers from a 6×6 paper pack by Crate Paper called “Party Day.” I used a Stitched Oval Die by Gina Marie.  Make sure to check her out too, as I think she has the best prices around on dies and all-around supplies. New items are added often.

I also used a Balloon Die by Die-Namics from My Favorite Things, which I cute twice and popped. The small sticker cupcake was in my stash as were the Rhinestones.

Life is Like….

It’s time again for our monthly “Bugaboo Challenge” at The Crafting Circle. I chose this image because it’s a little different from what I usually do, which is one of her “funky” older gals or guys.  This little guy is called “Riding A Bike,” and I loved the message that came with him.

He’s colored with my Copic Markers, and I used a Sukura Micron Black Pen to add the road and stones.  I don’t usually color in the complete background, but since it’s something I learned while taking a class at Kit and Clouder, I thought I’d give it a try.  I like how it came out and I’m sure I’ll do it again. Maybe next time it will a different medium.

The Clouds and Sun are Die-Namics from My Favorite Things.  The Twine is from Hobby Lobby.  The Peace Charm on the front of his bike is by Darice.

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to check out the Bugaboo Digi Stamp site. She keeps adding new stamps each week and these and others are often on sale. She also has a great selection of $1 stamps.

Challenges Entered:

Easter Parade….

This image was my choice to use in the March Progressive Challenge by Bloobel Digi Stamps.  I though she was cute, different and it would be a good challenge for me to make her look “Eastery.” (Is that a word?) She’s called “Easter Parade Bunneh.”

I used my Copic Markers, Prisma Pencils, and a Jelly Roll White Pen to color the image. I really like to mix these mediums, as the pencils make it easier to get in those small places.  That’s really important when you don’t see well.

I had a new paper stack that I picked up on sale at a Beal’s Outlet and the papers were all Spring and Easter oriented — just perfect for this card! The stack is called “Umbrella” and is made by American Crafts.  I had some 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 pre-made card bases from Hobby Lobby that I decided to use. I thought it would be fun to work with a bigger size card than what I normally use.

I used one of those dollar punches from Michaels to make the flowers for her hat and the one she’s holding. I added a few rhinestones from my stash to make the flowers “pop” a little.

The Music Notes Die is by Memory Box and the Scalloped Stitched Rectangle is a Die-namic by My Favorite Things.  When I finished the card I thought it still needed something, so I decided to add the Sequins. These are also by MFT, and I thought they were the perfect addition to put the finishing touch on this card.

Why don’t you get your Bloobel image before the month is up and come play along with us?
