I made this adorable 6th Birthday Card for a special little girl in my life. It reminded me so much of her with those big BROWN eyes and her hair pulled back. LOL. She’s precious.
The digital image is by Sandra Caldwell and from her “Baby Cakes” Etsy Shop. Check her out…she has some really cute, cute images for all occasions. This one is called “Maria Carmen Party Hat” and is #1388.
I’ve colored the image with my Copic Markers and used Pattern Papers from a 6×6 paper pack by Crate Paper called “Party Day.” I used a Stitched Oval Die by Gina Marie. Make sure to check her out too, as I think she has the best prices around on dies and all-around supplies. New items are added often.
I also used a Balloon Die by Die-Namics from My Favorite Things, which I cute twice and popped. The small sticker cupcake was in my stash as were the Rhinestones.
It’s time again for our monthly “Bugaboo Challenge” at The Crafting Circle. I chose this image because it’s a little different from what I usually do, which is one of her “funky” older gals or guys. This little guy is called “Riding A Bike,” and I loved the message that came with him.
He’s colored with my Copic Markers, and I used a Sukura Micron Black Pen to add the road and stones. I don’t usually color in the complete background, but since it’s something I learned while taking a class at Kit and Clouder, I thought I’d give it a try. I like how it came out and I’m sure I’ll do it again. Maybe next time it will a different medium.
The Clouds and Sun are Die-Namics from My Favorite Things. The Twine is from Hobby Lobby. The Peace Charm on the front of his bike is by Darice.
Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to check out the Bugaboo Digi Stamp site. She keeps adding new stamps each week and these and others are often on sale. She also has a great selection of $1 stamps.
This image was my choice to use in the March Progressive Challenge by Bloobel Digi Stamps. I though she was cute, different and it would be a good challenge for me to make her look “Eastery.” (Is that a word?) She’s called “Easter Parade Bunneh.”
I used my Copic Markers, Prisma Pencils, and a Jelly Roll White Pen to color the image. I really like to mix these mediums, as the pencils make it easier to get in those small places. That’s really important when you don’t see well.
I had a new paper stack that I picked up on sale at a Beal’s Outlet and the papers were all Spring and Easter oriented — just perfect for this card! The stack is called “Umbrella” and is made by American Crafts. I had some 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 pre-made card bases from Hobby Lobby that I decided to use. I thought it would be fun to work with a bigger size card than what I normally use.
I used one of those dollar punches from Michaels to make the flowers for her hat and the one she’s holding. I added a few rhinestones from my stash to make the flowers “pop” a little.
The Music Notes Die is by Memory Box and the Scalloped Stitched Rectangle is a Die-namic by My Favorite Things. When I finished the card I thought it still needed something, so I decided to add the Sequins. These are also by MFT, and I thought they were the perfect addition to put the finishing touch on this card.
Why don’t you get your Bloobel image before the month is up and come play along with us?
This is my Card Sketch #3 for the Monthly Challenge Forum over at Crafting Circle. Our instructions were to follow the Sketches and the Extra Credits that were picked by the monthly host. Since the Sketch showed Feathers, I thought it was a perfect time to pull out this unused Die-namic Dies by My Favorite Things. The real Feather is compliments of my bird!
This was such a simple card to make because there is no image to color. The Pattern Paper is a single sheet from Hobby Lobby and the small pieces of Cardstock were in my scraps pile. The Hemp Twine is from My Favorite Things.
If you have time, please come and join us. It’s a “just for fun” challenge and gives you something fun to keep you busy.
Thanks for dropping in.
Here it is the beginning of the month and time for the new Crafty Awesomeness Challenge. This month’s sponsor is “Cute As A Button,” which features the wonderful digital Stamps of the owner – Francesca Lopez.
With Easter just around the corner, I chose the image called “Bunny Egg,” #IMG00186. I’ve colored her with my Copic Markers and used the Die-namics Wonky Ovals to cute out the image. I believe the Fence is a “Do Hicky” Die Cut by Magnolia. The corner Dies are by Memory Box and called the “Snowflake Corner.” The cute papers are from an old Heidi Grace paper Stack called “Summer Showers.” I’m down to my last few pieces of paper and I’ve loved everyone of them!
I wanted to do something a little different, so my Easel Card turned into a sort of “Diorama.” LOL. The Grass, Bunnies and Eggs were in my stash and I believe they originally came from Joanns. The small paper eggs were cut with an old punch that I’ve had for years.
Come on over and join the fun! You could be a Winner!
