Our featured artist for the “Crafty Awesomeness Challenge” for September is non other than the very gifted artist Mr. Rick St. Dennis. This image is called “Excavation for Skulls” and is available here. Rick has some great images that cover all occasions, but I especially like his “Spooky” ones. This one will give me a start on my Halloween Cards for this year.
The image was colored with my Prisma Colored Pencils and was cut with my “Wonky Ovals” Die-Namics by My Favorite Things. The Rolled Flower Roses and other flowers are also made from Dies by Die-namics. The Branch Die is a Tim Holtz by Sizzix one. The “Sequins” are from My Favorite Things and the other Black Decorations are from Hobby Lobby.
Please come and join us and maybe you’ll be this month’s winner.
CHALLENGES I’VE ENTERED:
This card was made following a sketch from The Crafting Circle Monthly Blog. The image used on the card is one issued by Bloobel for their May Progressive Challenge. The image is called “Fairy Pig.”
I colored the image with my Copic Markers and Prisma Pencils. I used Spellbinder Scalloped Circle Dies and Rectangle Dies. The Happy Birthday is a new die I just bought by Die-Namics from My Favorite Things. The Type was computer set.
Thanks for stopping by.
This time of the year I’ve a large number of birthday cards to make, so I thought that this cute image called “Bug Birthday – Bird 4” would be a great place to start. This is also my card for the July “Bugaboo Crafty Challenge” at The Crafting Circle.Com.
If you haven’t checked out the new and improved “Bugaboo” Digital Online Store, make sure you do. She’s always got great sales going on and some of the nicest digital stamps around…and don’t forget to check out her Free Image each Friday.
I chose to color this image with my Copic Markers and also my Prisma Colored Pencils. The patterned papers were all from a new stack by Echo Park that I bought at a recent Convention. The stack is Called “Birthday Wishes.”
I cut my colored image with a Spellbinder’s Scalloped Circle Die, plus I used the Die-Namics “Bottle Cap Numbers” by My Favorite Things to cut out the date.
Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you next time. Good luck on the Challenge.
If it’s July in America then it’s time to wear your Red, White and Blue and help celebrate the 4th of July!
For this month’s Crafty Awesomeness Challenge, I’ve chosen to use this digi by Scrapper’s Delight called “Lady Constance.” (It was also the pick for their Progressive Challenge on their FB page.)
I’ve colored the image with my Copic Markers and outlined some part of it with a white Prisma Pencil so it would stand out agains the dark background. The patterned paper is a scrap of double-sided paper called “Liberty Fireworks” by Bo Bunny, that I thought went great with the 4th of July theme. The stickers are by “Life’s Little Occasions” and originally came from Joanns.
Thanks you for stopping by.
My project this month for the Bugaboo Crafty Challenge is a Bookmark. Here in the U.S.A., we will be celebrating our Independence on the 4th of July next month and this image hits the spot. She’s called, “Stella Calendar Month July USA.” I also really liked the sentiment that went with it. LOL.
I’ve colored the image with my Copic Markers and also used a Gold Prisma Pencil. I’m not sure who makes the pattern paper that I used, as I have had it for ages and didn’t find a name on the back. It’s from a 12×12 single sheet of paper so maybe it’s from Joanns or Michaels.
I also used small magnets so the Bookmark will hold securely to the page. I’ve had several fall out of my book lately and it’s very frustrating to try and find my place again. I think this will solve that problem.
I hope you’ll come and join us and good luck with winning something. Also – don’t forget to check out the Bugaboo Store for their weekly sales and Friday Freebie.
