It’s time again for the Freebie Friday Progressional Challenge at Scrapper’s Delights. For this go-round, Janice has chosen one of her adorable beach kids…Beach Babe 2. If you participated in our last challenge, you can get her here for FREE, or if you got our last image but did’t get to complete the challenge, you can buy her here for $1. Either way, please come and join us.
We were asked to use a special “twist” on the card of either “no patterned paper” or making a “shaped card.” I chose to do the “no patterned paper, and I must say that I really found it very challenging.
I was lucky enough to find this beautiful brown paper in my stash and thought it looked perfect for a sandy beach. I’ve had it for years and it’s by the Paper Co. I also used some scraps of different shades of blue card stock and tore strips and layered them to give the effect of waves.
The Cloud and Sun dies are from “Die-namics” by My Favorite Things, and both the Chair and the Umbrella are from “Memory Box.” The Umbrella and Fish are popped to look 3-D.
I’ve colored everything with my Copic Markers, and I also added a rhinestone from my stash for her earring.

This is an adorable Mermaid digital stamp done by artist Janice Cullen Collyer of Scrapper’s Delights and recently offered free in conjunction with Markers, Papers and Digis on their Facebook site.
By now you should all know how I feel about Mermaids…I love them, and this one is no exception. It was really fun to try to do something different with her.
I went through my old stack of 8-1/2 x 11 papers and found this underwater scene called Fish W/Whales by Masterpiece Studios. I don’t think I could have asked for a more perfect paper!
The image is colored with Copic Markers and highlighted with a White Prisma Pencil and a White Gelly Roll Pen. The inside of the clam shell is brushed with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter, and I also used Ranger’s “Star Dust” Stickles on her clothes and tail.
The “Happy Birthday” die is a Die-namic by MFT and the Branch and Seahorse dies are by Memory Box.
…For One Of Your Smiles…MY MAMMIE! This is from the original 1927 version of the very first “Talkie” movie “The Jazz Singer” staring Al Jolson. I can remember watching it with my parents when I was a child and it was WAY old then. I much prefer the 1980 adaptation staring Neil Diamond.
This idea popped into my head when I first saw the new “Freebie Friday Progressive Challenge Image” from Janice Cullen Collyer of Scrapper’s Delight. If you did the last challenge, you can get this image free or you can buy it for $1.00 from the Scrapper’s Delight store HERE.
The image was colored with Copic Markers and the saying was computer generated. Card Base is by “The Paper Studio” from Hobby Lobby and the solid Card Stock is by “Recollections.” The Patterned Paper is by g.c.d. Studios. The hat and hand have been popped with Foam Dots, also from Hobby Lobby.

for the new Freebie Friday Progressive Challenge at Scrappers Delight. This time we have an image from Janice Cullen Collyer’s new Steampunk Series. Please join us here.
My images are colored with “Prisma Premium Colored Pencils,” and I’ve used “Color Box Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink” to age the dry embossing folder. The Clock folder is made by “The Paper Studio” from Hobby Lobby. I’ve fussy-cut the images and double-stacked them with black 3D Foam Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives, also found at Hobby Lobby. The letters are a “Die-Namics” die from My Favorite Things online store. The patterned paper is from the “Accomplished” stack by Authentique.

I’ve been in the middle of a mini “scrap room” redo to try and make my supplies more easily accessible while I’m crafting. It’s funny how you change your “style” just a little bit, and you find that you have to shuffle things around again to have them within easy reach. If not, you feel like you get up a million times to get something and that’s such a waste of precious crafting time.
Since I’ve signed up for several of the Kit and Clowder online coloring classes, I’ve been adding to my Copic Markers and my Prisma Premium Colored Pencils. I definitely want to keep all of these within easy reach. If you still haven’t tried these classes, please check them out. There’s even a free class you can take, and you can’t beat that!
Since I’ve been on Face Book, I’ve also discovered some new digital artists whose stamps range from sweet to zany and you’ll see many of them featured on my upcoming cards. They are the best of the best…IMHO.
Speaking of these new artists, my first card posted has an image by…Conie Fong. This was made for a sweet little girl who just turned 5. Thank you Conie for such a cute image.
Products Used: Copic Markers, Banner and Fancy Oval dies by Die-Namics by My Favorite Things, Papers from G. C. D. “Country Charm.” and Stickers, Bling and Twine were from my stash.
