Hi again. It’s time for the Bugaboo Crafty Challenge at the Crafting Circle.com. Since I still needed Christmas Cards, I chose this cute digi image called “Meowy Christmas” to use. It can be found here at the Bugaboo online stamp store.
I colored the image with my Copic Markers and also used some white craft paint to highlight the fur on the cap. I also made two layers for the nose and layered it with foam pops.
I plan to make several of these cards to send to my friends who are cat lovers.
Pop on over to Bugaboo and see the great collection of Christmas images that she has and she adds more each week.
Sorry that my Bugaboo Crafty Challenge for September is so late, but we were caught in the middle of Hurricane Irma and things are just now getting back to normal here.
I was thrilled to be able to do another card for my Christmas pile. This cute little digi and sentiment is called “Merry Christmas to Ewe” and both can be found here on the Bugaboo Store site. Don’t you just love that cute little face? I sure do.
My papers are from a stack by “The Paper Studio” called “Snow Day” and bought at Hobby Lobby. I’ve had it a few years now and I still love this aqua and red combination for Christmas. I’m hoping that I can find a new stack this year that I love as much as I do this one. If you’ve found any that you really like, please let me know.
I’ve colored my image with Copic Markers, picking up the colors in the paper. I decided to make it a shaker card using these smaller shaker windows that I had just bought from My Favorite Things. Unfortunately, I found the smaller window harder for me to work with, as some of the styrofoam “snow balls” were just a tad too big and they were a tight fit. I find that they don’t shake as well as I would like them to.
The Twine was from my stash and the large circle ring is cut with a Die-Namic die also from My Favorite Things.
Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask them. Good luck with your entry.
Our featured artist for the “Crafty Awesomeness Challenge” for September is non other than the very gifted artist Mr. Rick St. Dennis. This image is called “Excavation for Skulls” and is available here. Rick has some great images that cover all occasions, but I especially like his “Spooky” ones. This one will give me a start on my Halloween Cards for this year.
The image was colored with my Prisma Colored Pencils and was cut with my “Wonky Ovals” Die-Namics by My Favorite Things. The Rolled Flower Roses and other flowers are also made from Dies by Die-namics. The Branch Die is a Tim Holtz by Sizzix one. The “Sequins” are from My Favorite Things and the other Black Decorations are from Hobby Lobby.
Please come and join us and maybe you’ll be this month’s winner.
CHALLENGES I’VE ENTERED:
This is my card for the Bugaboo Crafty Awesomeness Challenge at the Crafting Circle.con for August. This cute Digi Stamp is called “Clyde – Get Well,” and it’s one of the newer images available at Bugaboo Digital Stamps. Make sure to check them out for their weekly sales and Friday Freebie image.
I’ve colored the image with my Copic Markers and I’ve also used a few Prisma Colored Pencils for highlighting. To add a little sparkle, I’ve dotted the background with “Star Dust” Stickles by Ranger. The Buttons are made from a Die-namic Die by My Favorite Things. The patterned paper was a remnant from my stash. I used a Corner Rounder on the corners.
Good luck with your entry.
Welcome to the “Crafty Awesomeness Challenge” for August. Our featured digital stamped images this month are from Kitty Bee Designs. The one I’m using is called the “Flower Love Bug” and can be found here.
I colored the image using my Copic Markers and highlighted it with a white pen. The checked patterned paper cardstock is from the “It’s A Boy” Dots and Stripes by Carta Bella. I used the Die-Namics “Hello” Die by My Favorite Things. The Foliage is a die by Memory Box and I believe the Stitched Rectangles might be a Gina Marie Die, but I’m not completely certain. The Corners were in my stash.
Thanks for stopping by and please join us in the challenge.
