Ever Feel Like This?

Here’s my card for The “June Crafty Awesomeness Challenge” at The Crafting Circle.

I’m sure that we’ve all had days when we can identify with this “cutting-edge” image by digital artist Rick St. Dennis. This image is called “Bang Your Head Slowly” and can be found here at Zibbet.

I’ve colored the image with Copic Markers and used Prisma Colored Pencils for the eyes. The black and red colored cardstock is by Recollections.  The checked paper is from the “Mother Goose” paper stack by Graphic 45, and the other patterned paper is called “Black Swirl Roses” by Recollections.

I also used a large Friskars Flower Punch and a small one made by E.K. Success. The small letters are a Die by Die-Namics from MFT. The large Alphabet Stickers are by Making Memories and must be at least 10 years old.  The black and white stickers are “Thickers” by A.C. The rhinestones were in my stash.

It’s Never too Soon…

IMG_4733to start your Christmas Cards.  Yep, I’m always going to do mine early but you know how it is, there’s always another card to make first.

This card uses an adorable image by Scrapper’s Delight called ‘Fairy Day Dream.”  I had this great stack of Disney Holiday paper and was going to pair her up with a patterned paper that had Tinkerbell scattered across the page, but it just didn’t work out. It was way too busy looking. This one is a much more subtle Christmas print and I love how the colors go together.

So, how many Christmas cards have you done?

LOVE Me Some Mermaids!!!!

Over the years I’ve bought some really cute Mermaid stamps, both digital and rubber.  Each year I would use one on a special birthday card for my dear friend.  She passed away several years  ago, but I still find myself buying mermaid images and thinking of how much she  would have enjoyed her next card.

This image is a digital one by another new-to-me artist Amanda Byron of Faery Ink Stamps. “Gabbie Frangipani Mermaid” Isn’t she the cutest?

Supplies: Digital image by Amanda Byron of Faery Ink.  Colored with Copic Markers and Prisma Colored Pencils.  The Shell die is a Die-Namics by My Favorite Things and the Seahorses and Branch are by Memory Box.  Flowers are From the Value Bins at Michaels as were the rhinestones. I used “Stardust” Stickles by Ranger and Wink of Stella Brush Tip Clear Glitter Pen.  Papers are by Core’dinations and “Journeys” by GED Studios. Others papers were scraps.
