Put On Your Red, White & Blue….

If it’s July in America then it’s time to wear your Red, White and Blue and help celebrate the 4th of July!

For this month’s Crafty Awesomeness Challenge, I’ve chosen to use this digi by Scrapper’s Delight called “Lady Constance.”  (It was also the pick for their Progressive Challenge on their FB page.)

I’ve colored the image with my Copic Markers and outlined some part of it with a white Prisma Pencil so it would stand out agains the dark background.  The patterned paper is a scrap of double-sided paper called “Liberty Fireworks” by Bo Bunny, that I thought went great with the 4th of July theme.  The stickers are by “Life’s Little Occasions” and originally came from Joanns.

Bookmark…

My project this month for the Bugaboo Crafty Challenge is a Bookmark. Here in the U.S.A., we will be celebrating our Independence on the 4th of July next month and this image hits the spot.  She’s called, “Stella Calendar Month July USA.” I also really liked the sentiment that went with it. LOL.

I’ve colored the image with my Copic Markers and also used a Gold Prisma Pencil. I’m not sure who makes the pattern paper that I used, as I have had it for ages and didn’t find a name on the back. It’s from a 12×12 single sheet of paper so maybe it’s from Joanns or Michaels.

I also used small magnets so the Bookmark will hold securely to the page.  I’ve had several fall out of my book lately and it’s very frustrating to try and find my place again. I think this will solve that problem.

I hope you’ll come and join us and good luck with winning something. Also – don’t forget to check out the Bugaboo Store for their weekly sales and Friday Freebie.

Under the Sea….

Our Crafty Awesomeness Challenge for June is to make a “Shaker Card” and to use our “Gina Marie” Dies.  This was a no brainer for me, as I have plenty of her Beach and Sea oriented dies.

I cut my dies using white paper and colored them using my Copic Markers and a few Prisma Colored Pencils. The plastic Domes are available from here.  The sparkling beads used were a type of “Christmas Ice” bought at Hobby Lobby.  (I’m always picking up things that I think will look cool in a shaker card so I have them when needed.)

The circle background paper was an old scrap, but the wood-pattern paper was from a Glitz 6×6 Paper Pad called “Dapper Dan.”

The Shark Sticker was another dip into sticker notebook that I’ve had for years and years.  I’m determined to make use of as many as I can on my future cards!

I hope you can join us and maybe you’ll be the winner. The challenge runs through the end of June.

Lolly….

Hello again.  This is my card for the May Progressive Challenge for Scrapper’s Delight.  The cute image of the little girl with her “Lolly” is by digital artists Janice Cullen Collyer and is still available on her site for free until the first week in June.  At that time a new image will be out and available if you have completed this one.

I’ve colored the image with Copic Markers and added some pattern paper from my scraps, a few flowers and matching buttons from my stash. My goal was to make a “Clean and Simple Card” and I think this fits the bill.

Year End….

Hi everyone.  This is my newest card and it’s for the “Bloobel Progressive Challenge” for May. Having several Teachers in our family, I thought it was a perfect card to send to one of them.  By this time of the year I thought that they all must feel this way, not just the students! Don’t you think so?

The cute digital image is by Bloobel and called “Bored at Work.” He’s been colored with my Copic Markers, White Gelly Roll Pen, and Prisma Pencils.

I used a Spellbinger Die for the basic background shapes and then used the Bottle Cap Letter Dies by Die-Namics from My Favorite Things. The Speech Bubble and Sentiment are both computer generated.

The Pattern Papers are more “Oldies” that I dug out of my 8½ x 11 drawer. Sorry, but neither had a name on them. The Red Cardstock was a scrap.

I hope you were able to grab this free image and enter the challenge.  If not, sign up so you can get the Free June Image when it’s released.

Thanks for stopping by.
