There’s no chance for snow or a snowman here in the deep South, but I sure did enjoy getting another Christmas Card done. Isn’t he cute?
The Image is from a set of clear Stampendous Stamps called “Build A Snowman” that I bought last year. He’s colored with my Copic Markers and cut with a Spellbinders Decal Edge Nestability Die. The snowflake paper is from my scrap box and quite old. The twine and the ribbon is also from my stash.
I popped the carrot nose and part of the scarf with foam pops. He’s colored with my Copic Markers. The snowflakes are dotted with Ranger Stickles and I put a rhinestones in each center.
This is my take on the Bloobel Progressive Challenge for February. I thought that the digi stamp was perfect for several birthdays that I had coming up later this year. The image is called “BAKE ME A CAKE” and you can find her here at Bloobel.
I’ve colored her with my Copic Markers and I’ve also used a few Prisma Colored Pencils, plus a Jelly Roll White Pen. The die-cut Numbers are by Sizzix Momenta and bought at Hobby Lobby. The papers were single sheets also from Hobby Lobby.
I’m doing a second Bugaboo project for our monthly Bugaboo Crafty Challenge and this one is WAY out of my comfort zone! It’s a Coloring Page, which turned into quite a challenge for me. It can be found here.
I planned to use one of my favorite Copic color combos…black, yellow, and gray, but it turned out that I needed to add another color to the mix. I chose a pretty turquoise to compliment the other colors. I’ve also used lots of Wink-Of-Stella Clear or Black Glitter Brush Pens on the image, but it’s hard to see in the photo. I’ve added a rhinestone to the center of each of the flowers and I think it really makes them pop.
I was so pleased with how this came out that I added the date to the front and now plan to use it as a Journal Cover.
CHALLENGES I ENTERED:
It’s time again for our monthly Bugaboo Crafty Challenge at Crafting Circle. This time I thought I’d try something other than my usual card. I have a very dear friend who fought the “Pink Battle” and won and since she’s also an avid reader, up popped the idea of making her a “Bookmark.”
The image I used is “Pink Ribbon Gals – Vivian.” I used a heavy white cardstock from Hobby Lobby and a scrap of pink paper that was sitting on my desk. I used my Crop-A-Dile Corner Rounder and a generic Hole Punch. The white and pink ribbon is from my stash but originally both are from Joanns.
I’ve colored the image with my Copic Markers. The Dress has been colored twice and popped with Foam Dots and the Ruffled was done three times. I plan to buy some small magnets to put inside, which I’ll then cover with a pattern paper. The Bookmark will open and close over the page to keep your spot.
The sentiment comes with the stamp set.
Here it is the beginning of the month and time for the new Crafty Awesomeness Challenge. This month’s sponsor is “Cute As A Button,” which features the wonderful digital Stamps of the owner – Francesca Lopez.
With Easter just around the corner, I chose the image called “Bunny Egg,” #IMG00186. I’ve colored her with my Copic Markers and used the Die-namics Wonky Ovals to cute out the image. I believe the Fence is a “Do Hicky” Die Cut by Magnolia. The corner Dies are by Memory Box and called the “Snowflake Corner.” The cute papers are from an old Heidi Grace paper Stack called “Summer Showers.” I’m down to my last few pieces of paper and I’ve loved everyone of them!
I wanted to do something a little different, so my Easel Card turned into a sort of “Diorama.” LOL. The Grass, Bunnies and Eggs were in my stash and I believe they originally came from Joanns. The small paper eggs were cut with an old punch that I’ve had for years.
Come on over and join the fun! You could be a Winner!
