We have a family birthday that sometimes falls on Thanksgiving or at the very least the same week. I tackled this card after finishing the last of my Thanksgiving cards and I just love this cute image. He’s called “Birthday Cupcake” and is by the very talented digi artist Bloobel.
I had very little time to make this card so it’s very simple. I colored the image with my Copic Markers and used this great pattern paper from My Favorite Things. It’s from their “Birthday Blowout” 6×6 Paper Pack. I love the bright colors and the several different sheets of printed birthday text sheets.
This is also my #1 Card Sketch in MsWipz’s Monthly Challenge.
I had a few minutes today and thought I give it a go at coloring this “Dearie Dolls” digi image. When I looked at them I wondered if they were looking for the “perfect pumpkin” to make their pie? LOL.
I colored them with my Copic Markers and also used a few of my Prisma Colored Pencils and a White Pen.
I made the card base out of Kraft Paper from My Favorite Things and my Gold Paper is also from them. The die I used for the Corners came from My Paper World, which is an Australian Co.
The assorted Sequins are also from My Favorite Things. The Fence Punch is by Martha Steward and is several years old.
Thanks for stopping by.
This is another card I made using this great image from Bugaboo Digital Stamps called “Ruby Calendar Month – Thanksgiving.” It’s another one of my Thanksgiving cards for this year.
This is also my #2 Sketch Card for MsWipz’s monthly “Just For Fun” Challenge that you can find here. I’ve done several cards with this Bugaboo image and find that it works great for any big Holiday.
I’ve colored her with my Copic Markers and dotted areas with Ranger Stardust Stickles. I’ve also used Diamond Glaze by Judi Kins on the Glasses and on the Pie Plate. I used small Rhinestones from my stash for her Earrings and her Ring.
The Leaf is a punch, but it didn’t show a company name. The Knife and Fork are from a Die-cut set by Paper Smooches. (There is also a spoon included.) The Twine was in my stash.
The Papers are scraps from other cards I made this year.
Thanks for looking, Dee
Merry Christmas everyone. The year has gone by in a flash and I’m way behind in making my cards. It seems funny to be out shopping and hear Christmas Music and it’s not even Thanksgiving yet! Things sure are different from when I was a child.
This card was made using the #4 Sketch on the Crafting Circle Monthly, “Just For Fun,” Challenge Blog run by our own MsWipz. Come and join us, you’ll enjoy it.
The beautiful pattern paper came with a British Magazine, but I can’t remember which one. It really is lovely. The green and red are scraps and the Gold Paper is from My Favorite Things.
The sentiment is a Stampabilities Stamp from Hobby Lobby and the small Poinsettia is a die-cut from Simon Says. It’s the perfect size for cards.
That’s it…thanks for stopping by and having a look-see.
I just had to do another card using this “Quirky” image by Bloobel called “Turkey.” He’s colored with my Copic Markers and cut out with a Wonky Die Cut by Die-namics from My Favorite Things. The letters are from the Bottle Cap Die set also by My Favorite Things.
I’m not sure where the pattern paper is from, but it was in with my single sheets of paper. The orange paper was a small scrap from my scrap box, and the ribbon and bling are from Joanns.
The sketch I used was from The Crafting Circle Blog Challenge and it was #1. I always like following a sketch.
Each year I send out about 5 or 6 Thanksgiving cards so I’ll be posting a few more soon.
